We are committed to delivering broadband for customers in all areas of the UK. Our Rural Broadband options are for customers in lower density populated / rural areas which means Broadband speeds tend to be slower. At POP we use the largest next generation network in the country dedicated to getting you the best rural broadband coverage wherever you are located across the UK.
How Rural broadband Works
Fibre optic cables run from the exchange to your nearest street cabinet, and then copper cabling completes the connection between the cabinet and your home. The speeds you get are directly influenced by how far you are from the fibre enabled street cabinet.
Internet exchanges are usually located in built up areas, most often in town centres. So, if you're on the edge of a town, or somewhere in the countryside, farmland, or in the dales with miles between you and the exchange, then you'll may be getting a much slower speed.
Existing phone line
If there is an existing line, the setup times can take up to 14 days to setup.
New phone line
As with most things in life, good things come to those who wait! A new Rural Broadband line setup can take up to 6 weeks, however we pride ourselves in delivering connections before this time.
